AIGA KC
Faculty advisor to the AIGA KCAI student group, 2013–2014

Director of Education (served 2010 – 2013) Responsible for all AIGA KC student activities including scholarship awards, student grants, portfolio workshops, etc.

PORTFOLIO WORKSHOP
Planned and executed the 2012 and 2013 events, which host 60 area students and 60 design professionals for a day of portfolio reviews and breakout sessions.

Conceived and executed a student summit to enhance the board’s understanding of student issues.

Conceived and executed the event, Hello Ellen, a small roundtable for select students and faculty with designer Ellen Lupton.

Hosted ‘We Need More’
AIGA Student Group from Colorado. Organized a lunch with local professionals and tour of Willoughby Design.

AIGA KC_ Revinylze
Organized First Friday event in which participants would design their own bags from recycled billboard vinyl to be sewn later by local fibers artist.
